Roberta De  Grandi
Data scientist

Since June 2019, Roberta De Grandi is a computational biologist at Genomna S.r.l where she is part of the Bioinformatics team who dedicate to analysis Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data which cover genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics and metagenomics applications. She earned a BSc degree in Biology and an MSs degree in Biology applied to the Biomedical Research at the University of Milan. She approached bioinformatics during her PhD in Experimental and Translation Medicine at University of Insubria investigating the human microbiota by means of a Next Generation Sequencing approaches. Subsequently, she improved her bioinformatic knowledge attending to a postgraduate master program in “Bioinformatics and functional genomics” at the University of Milan. Consequently, she developed a huge interest in multidisciplinary approach and system biology applying her knowledge in the biological field to the NGS data analysis.

Valentina Vigano
Molecular Biology Lab Technician

Valentina Viganò obtained a BSc in Industrial Biotechnology at University of Milano Bicocca (Italy) in 2006. After her studies she worked as a researcher at “Istituto di ricerche chimiche e biochimiche G. Ronzoni” in Milan for one year. Then she moved to San Raffaele Hospital (Milan), where she worked for four years as a laboratory technician in molecular diagnostic. Here she improved her knowledge of molecular biology methods and worked with nucleic acids on the HLA system. She has been working at Genomnia as Molecular Biology Laboratory Technician since 2011.
